Partner with specific business units within the LOC and deliver LOC Selling Excellence priorities. Establish operational plans and deliver solutions to build capability for the sales organization through continues Coaching and designed learning solutions. Drive commercial performance by becoming a partner of choice for the First Line Sales Leaders and Business Unit Heads within the LOC.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Operations

Align the SE strategy with the business unit priorities. Enable the delivery of business outcomes by implementing capability building action plans. To ensure accelerated capability building aligned with Brand Plans and BU must wins. To work in a highly collaborative way with the business unit leaders with a focus on capability building solutions, on-Boarding Excellence of execution. Establish a strong partnership with the business unit leaders and demonstrate a strong understanding of the business challenges and are looked upon as a business partner by the leaders Track the implementation of the selling excellence strategy for Capability building plan using appropriate, KPIs and scorecards. Report on progress at regular intervals and adjusts based on feedback

Learning & Capability

Identify learning needs using qualitative and quantitative data at individual, team and Business unit level Conduct GSO gap analysis with collaboration with commercial stakeholders Maximize output from Infield Coaching to drive performance with track record with assigned BU leads. Demonstrate effective facilitation skills to actively involve people in learning and motivate them to improve selling skills and building capabilities (both Face to Face & Virtual Classrooms) Design and develop blended learning solutions that build the required individual and team GSO capabilities Help to align Business Unit marketing materials, ensure campaign materials, call flows and knowledge questions are updated to high standard and aligned with Good Sell Outcome Ensure excellence of execution for newly recruited reps Onboarding focusing on GSO capabilities and required role plays sessions

Drive Performance & Impact

Track GSO execution in the Business Unit leveraging sales rep self - evaluation, FLSL evaluation, P2P & STEM / GSO360 data. Implement GSO improvement plans based on the trends and agreed areas of improvement with the business leaders Leverage data to link lead measures to lag measures and based on the trend make improvement plans for commercial execution Link all GSO activities to business measures (lead to lag) at all levels MR, FLSL & SLSL in an organized method and have regular interactions

In all areas, demonstrate an understanding of and compliance with laws, codes of conduct, policies and frameworks in which GSK operates and live our vision, values and expectations


Primary deliverables of role; its scope; budgetary control (operating/capital), impact on strategy, policy, business or people relationships

  • Develop and implement impactful learning solutions that drive sustained on the job behavior change, business impact and result in enhanced GSO
  • An aligned learning strategy and plan to drive GSO, agreed and committed to by business partners
  • Full-fledged Capability building plan including field Coaching and classroom training solutions.
  • On time delivery of the overall learning plan, achieving the desired learner and program coverage
  • Impactful and innovative delivery of learning solutions and experiences
  • Personal development planning in the spirit of continuous improvement
  • Implementation and adherence to all GSK activities aligned to GSK vision, expectations, values and code of conduct
  • Experiences:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Med rep role with track record of success.
  • Knowledgeable with diversified GSK therapy lines.
  • Field coaching experience or Selling excellence related assignments is a plus
  • Track record of cross functional work.
  • Capabilities:

  • Able to motivate and inspire people.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
