A reputable Bank in Beirut is looking for an IT Auditor.
- Department: Internal Audit
- Reports to: IT Audit Manager
*Job Purpose*
The IT Auditor supports the execution of audits focused on the Bank’s information systems,
technology controls, and cybersecurity practices.
The role helps ensure that IT operations are secure, efficient, and compliant with internal
policies, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
*Key responsibilities*
• Conduct comprehensive audits of IT systems and infrastructure to ensure compliance with
policies and regulations assignments in line with the approved audit plan and IIA
Standards.
• Participate in reviews of IT General Controls (ITGCs), application controls, and information
security processes.
• Contribute to the identification of IT risks, control weaknesses, and improvement
opportunities.
• Document audit work, findings, and recommendations clearly and accurately.
• Follow up on the implementation of corrective actions by auditees.
• Keep updated on emerging IT risks, cybersecurity trends, and banking regulations.
*Qualifications and Skills*:
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT audit - preferably within a bank or financial
institution.
• Certified Information System Auditor (CISA)
• Good understanding of:
- IT General Controls (ITGCs) and application controls
- Information security and cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST)
- IT governance principles (COBIT, ITIL)
- Core banking systems and digital banking processes
• Soft skills
- Analytical and logical thinking
- Strong attention to detail
- Confidentiality and integrity
- Team collaboration
- Problem-solving attitude
- Willingness to learn and adapt
